ONGOING PROJECT,WORK ON ISUZU NKR GEARBOX

THIS GEARBOX IS USED FOR A DOUBLE CONSTANT MESH GEARBOX LAYOUT, WHERE BY VEHICLE WITH FRONT ENGINE ,REAR WHEEL DRIVE, IS DRIVEN BY A FINAL DRIVE THROUGH A SEPERATED GEARBOX.

THE GEARBOX IN THIS PICTURE,IS A 5 SPEED MANUAL ,EXCLUDING REVERSE GEAR.THE WRONG GEAR OIL AND GRADE WAS USE,THATS MY THEORY ANY WAY,THE RIGHT GEAR OIL IS CALLED CLASSIC30 . IT IS THE GEAROIL RECOMMENDED BY ISUZU. THE OIL OVERHEATED AND BURNT, IT WAS LIKE A MELTED PLASTIC OR LET ME SAY A PROPERLY BURNT OIL TO BE PRECISE.

THE SPEED GEAR MAIN SHAFT AND THE LAYSHAFT IS BAKED WITH THE BURNT OIL, YOU COULD NOT EVEN SELECT/SHIFT TO ANY GEAR.THE REVERSE GEAR WHICH IS THE FRIST HELICAL GEAR FROM TOP WAS EVEN HARD TO TURN ,SAME GOES WITH THE SECOND, WHICH IS THE 1ST GEAR,THIRD WHICH IS THE 2ND GEAR, FOURTH WHICH IS THE 3RD GEAR, FIFTH WHICH IS THE 4TH GEAR AND SIXTH WHICH IS THE 5TH GEAR.THE LAYSHAFT IS A SINGLE SOILD GEAR, IT IS DRIVEN BY THE MAINSHAFT .

THE PICTURE HERE IS THE COMPLETED REBUILD GEARBOX.  TO MY AMAZEMENT ,WITH THE AID OF A TROLLEY JACK AND A BIG BLOCK OF WOOD I WAS ABOUT TO MOUNT THE GEARBOX IN A VERY REASON TIME. LIFT THE GEARBOX TO A REASONABLE HEIGHT SAME LEVEL AS THE FLYWHEEL TRANSMISSION AND I JUST PUSH IT IN WITH MY FOOT/HAND.
